Brazil plunders the arcane underworld of a rock and roll universe
and comes home with a back of tricks filled with elemental 50ties
rockabilly , 60ties instrumental sounds, experimental German electronic
music, bawdily 70ties porn film oundtracks, French pop and disco punk.On stage it seems like Iggy Pop, Lux Interior, Serge Gainsbourg and Divine, have been morphed into a transgenic body - the Boy From Brazil. Expect the unexpected! Boy From Brazil also known as Razi, has been actively involved with various musical projects around the globe. He played bass with Stereo Total; fronted the Actionist trash-n-roll band, the Golden Showers, was a member of the Digital Hardcore (DHR) project, Give Up and toured the US as a support act of Atari Teenage Riot. Right now he is collaborating with Ex-Golden-Showers bass player Nicole Morier from Electrocute. Apart from that he occasionally performs with the Knoxville Girls and the Einstürzende Neubauten. Two 4-track 12”/MCD’s by the Boy From Brazil already appeared on the Berlin based label, Trans Solar Records: Trash Boom Bang and America. There will be an album out in the fall. |
