Thomas Groetz, born in 1965, studied history of art, philosophy and ethnology in Trier, works as a writer and publisher.

Book publications concerning punk/new wave and fine arts: Die Tödliche Doris Band 2. Doris als Musikerin (2000) and Kunst< >Musik. Deutscher Punk und New Wave in der Nachbarschaft von Joseph Beuys (dissertation, 2002).

Although Groetz grew up within the spiritual climate of a "no future" generation, he never was really a punk himself. He was more interested in the historical and cultural significance and the existential dimensions of punk.

At the Punk! Kongress he will talk about concepts of cultural anarchy and the impact that Punk had on other art forms. more...
