Born in the year of the "Miracle
Of Bern" Thomas Lau grew up somehow "in between": "too
young to be a punk and too old to be a Hippie". So when he was
young he did not feel like he had to compete against anything.
That's probably why he gave his doctoral thesis in sociology a title
like: The Holy Fools Punk 1976-1986. He finished his
thesis in 1992 and managed the balancing act between an impeccable
scientific approach and an amusing style of writing.
In his spare time Dr. Thomas Lau is into web logging and on sundays
he is playing soccer with the boys. He is living in the north of the
Ruhr area where he is writing about popular iconography, ABBA and
Michael Jackson. And very randomly he has contact to the style
police.
At the Punk! Kongress Thomas Lau will give you an answer to all your
questions. |

"Punk is like the joker in the card game of society, it
does not belong to any color but it triumphs over all the others."
